Final Dominos
The evening of the 18th, xQc and Ludwig announced that they would be paying back the debt garnered by Slicker. Ludwig was going to use his upcoming mobile game sponsorship to pay them back since he felt bad about the situation and doesn’t need the money in general. Felix was committed probably to repair his public image after the Adept Fallout. Felix is also a gambler on stream so he also felt bad for a man who couldn’t control his addiction and was suffering the worst mental affects of it. Slicker would actually be largely forgotten in the twitter conversation but he has talked with fellow creators and they are probably getting him the help he needs.
The next day, Coffeezilla released a video counting the total count to be $384k and also talked further about his tactics. With the Slicker trend on Twitter I was only aware of streamers calling for the banishment of sponsored gambling streams. I did not see a lot of it–because I have better things to do than spend 10 hours on Twitter–but apparently there were battles fought between those who were already gambling on twitch and those who think it should be abolished.
September 19th, Hans and Magnus had an official rematch. In the second move, Magnus dipped. He physically just walked out the room fueled by real gamer rage. The chess fandom changed their hate from Hans to Magnus because now he was acting a a baby. They think that if Hans was suspicious, then he should just reveal his suspicions so everyone can move on. It is not a good look for the chess community if it’s champion is iffy on an upstart who can’t even legally drink.
While the rematch restarted chess debates on twitter, there were other things hotter than the sun on the website.
For Mizkif, he would state the worse take on the CrazySlick situation (considering he was so close). Unable to to find the exact video, I will simply quote verbatim:
“I don’t think there is a single person that we used to hang out that doesn’t hang with Slick anymore because of what happened. I actually think there’s literally none. Cause the reality is, worst comes to worst of it, it’s fucking like sexual harassment. No one- of what you can deem with it, its sexual harassment, whatever. At a low scale…”
Buddy it is not a contest. But it helps that Adrianah had said before that it was not a rape (tier 1) or a sexual assault (tier 2) so it must just be harassment (tier 3, ignorable). That must be his logic for letting Slick stay in his house but he definitely shouldn’t have stayed. Easily just have Slick release an apology (last year) and then keep him accountable because he seems to want to continue creeping. The way Internet celebrities handle their friends committing sexual crimes is like they never had friends in high school before. Plenty of horny people plague high schools and they do some fucked up shit sometimes. I had one, and it wasn’t super serious either, but we all booted him from the friend group. Your friendship can’t be serious enough that you’d just forgive them for sexual assault on its face. You have not grown up with these people. You do not know them. Either get them help or get them out.
But Mizkif was not done getting assailed because then ICE POSEIDON arrives. I’ve known this man. He had some trouble years back for some dumb shit, and I have never heard anything good about him since. For today, this man unveils a series of text logs between himself and Mizkif where the latter uses an abnormal amount of casual slurs. The funny part is that Miz used to be Poseidon’s camera man when he was starting out in 2018. But I guess they haven’t been friends in a while so he decided to release this. Nobody was…overjoyed or anything especially considering that Poseidon also uses slurs. It was like if Elon Musk committed a crime and then the Devil comes in talking about how Musk used to masturbate to scat porn with shit covering his penis. Like, thanks I guess bro.
Now people like me (who just naturally disliked Mizkif) had an actual reason to hate him; complicit to sexual assaults and racism. And this shit was actually racist. I usually don’t care about anyone using any slurs cause them’s words. But using them with hate? That’s crazy, you actually hate these people? That’s evil. After that, Mizkif would release an apology.
Finally, Twitch would prohibit slots gambling (the main gambit game on twitch) from being streamed. Slots is like that one machine where the three pictures rotate and you try to match the best one. There’s various versions of this. Slots does not include sports betting which is what Slicker was doing so, great. The ban includes Stake.com who is the biggest sponsor of this genre on Twitch so that’s a lot of money lost for streamers. That is also Train’s main site to bet which makes Trainwrecktv tonight’s big loser!
I spent all of the 21st writing this. If new stuff came out that day more today, I don’t know and I don’t care. The September Arc is over.
