Living Like a Lawyer

Fourth episode, we get what I thought was a weird intro until Donny Blaze opened the portal. Then the girl falls in and meets Wong later of which I’m surprised she’s getting screen time. Then she fucking spoiled Wong on the Sopranos so he declares revenge. This show does have it’s creative moments.
Jen mentions how much Twitter loves Wong which feels so real for now. Wong then come meets Jen to sue Donny Blaze. It’s such a funny rant for me. I honestly love it whenever people passionately rant to me because I don’t give a shit and they think I do which then makes me laugh. Now for me, the rest of the episode acts very similar to a R&M plotline which is all tied to the character Madisynn. Something about her just screams gag character, I don’t know what. Oh, why are there red lines under Madisynn, that’s her name! But yes she’s a fun character that bounces off of Wong really well. She’s also only seemingly ditzy, but she can be well spoken when necessary giving her some nuance that R&M usually delivers on. I do also like Johnny Blaze’s sidekick, the old black man. Just a fun enabler to a buffoon scam artist. But he also just feels like another R&M gag character. Him sleeping in the court scene, him and the lawyer doing magic after they barely won anything.
Then there’s the dating subplot where we meet the obvious creepy men who just want to molest She-Hulk. This even somewhat fits a description of the last guy she dates who she ends up uh fucking? I guess. How do you get a hulkussy wet? Otherwise, she’s be impenetrable, right? Whatever. From the trailer I expected this scene to be later in the show but it’s fine now. I am disappointed that the doctor was disappointed by real Hulk because I wanted to see their relationship develop. Then again, it does make sense as he was only here for green pussy. This is basically what she asked for leaning into a She-Hulk dating profile. Jen, herself, isn’t my type but I worry about her workaholic nature that blocks out a dating life, even if she never became hulk. She’s a nice enough person, she deserves happiness.
With Wong, we finally meet a guy out of her workplace that she can trust, at least loosely because he has his own responsibilities. Due to Wong’s respectfulness, she is at her upmost behavior around him. With her bestie Nikki, she might have just mocked Donny for his stupidity but with Wong they just treat him appropriately as a child.

In the fifth episode, we learn that She-Hulk is a beauty line made by Titania and so she sues Jen for her use of the name. So real for Titania to troll her like that. As Jen sits back in anger, Nikki and Pug grab us an introduction to Luke Jacobson, the king. Jacobson is such an annoying asshat, love him as a character. Now a guy like myself would have had connections to Melvin Potter for costuming but we’re not in New York. We also meet Mallory Books for a second time but this time we get to spend time with her. I do like Titania and Jacobson scenes, they bring good energy.
During the court scene we do get to see her previous dates including Todd. Now what case is he at GLK and H for? I wonder if it has anything to do with Jen. There are theories that he is obviously evil and possibly connected to the Wrecking Crew. I will argue that they won the court case a little too easily but I guess Titania really didn’t have anything to counter. My thing is, how do you let someone else trademark your shit? Also because she doesn’t go online, she never fucking sees it until Titania gets the time needed to sue her. Like how much time does it take to produce and advertise a whole line of makeup? Plenty of time to sue that company if you’re watching. At the same time, as a corporate peon, I understand forgetting to copyright that shit because regular civilians don’t have to copyright anything really. Now I think I should copy this website’s name…
Now for this episode, I do have to paint Jen’s character with her reactions toward Titania because Jacobson’s the only guy and they only get one scene. Anyways, we do see how Jen may act towards an actual enemy regardless of gender. She was correct about her controlling her anger in the first episode and she doesn’t even resort to childish remarks. Mallory also praises her for using the creepy dates, which may embarrass her, in order to win the case. This gives me a sense that she’s willing to do anything to win (good merit for a lawyer) and that she can roll with the punches which has also been shown otherwise.
Whoa…that box Jacobson moved. That music…Daredevil??
Wait, this show hasn’t given a reason for Murdock to show up. Like I thought She-Hulk would live in Manhattan but she’s closer to Van Nuys than anything else. So there must be something to bring Jen into NY because never in the Daredevil show did Murdock leave the official border of New York. From the formula of the show, we can expect he gets a full episode though.

Episode 6, the unconnected wedding episode. It’s so funny how Jen says it was unexpected because weddings always are. DD fans were raving. So in the previous, we saw how side characters like Nikki and Pug can support the A plot but now I would argue that Nikki and Mallory deal with the A plot o helping Mr. Immortal get divorced. Immortal truly is an ass, we already kind of saw how Jen dealt with a character like that so even if its just to fill out time, I like this story. His humor is more straight forward as he just escapes situations with suicide. While the character is from the comics, he also feels R&M inspired. I love how Mallory and Nikki treat him including in front of his partners. Of course he’s bi. Only bisexuals would kill themselves in his position.
Moving on, it seems as Titania was also invited to the wedding. This is exactly why Marvel can’t always be killing villains like they do. Those guys should be able to come back and mess with the hero like this. Jen is thrown completely off by her but also by Lulu so she decides to just divulge into debauchery. She dances weird, I saw no one point that out online. Then we met this guy named Josh who has a really laid back rizz. He’ll start the conversation but then follow Jen through it which is offaly smart. He seems nice so I hope he comes back to continue developing their relationship. He also genuinely likes Jen’s body. She received him well as well. She’s wasn’t suspicious, didn’t find him creepy, didn’t need to snark him except for about the wedding. This episode allows her to present herself honestly to a complete stranger.
Why did they stop the post credit scenes?
