Yay how much did we dislike that speed dating episode? Uh oh there was a non-consensual sex scene. That was a misplay. I was sort of glancing how to characterize Quicksilver and they mostly agreed that since Pietro experiences reality faster, he would also leave everyone in a social experience behind. So I think this is how he should constantly fall in love with women. It’s also a bit of a reference to Malcolm in the Middle. In season one, the eldest brother Francis experiences an accelerated relationship with this other girl over the course of one episode which is like only five hours in-universe time. It’s a funnier bit in the show since both Francis and the girl are Quicksilvering but here Trish just wants to kill him. I feel like though this fits the ridiculous world of comic literature.
Yo Luke Cage kind of died unceremoniously. I mean they fought him three times by now and Wolverine was kind of extra with it but it still probably felt weird to put it in the middle of the episode like that, lmao. But it should feel this way! These are just random people, the X-Force don’t care about them.
The Luke Cage show was pretty good. It feels like it was trying to be ‘Black Daredevil’ writing wise which is completely fair although the characters all still get treated differently. Seeing Claire again was nice, Cottonmouth was one of my top five characters. The others includes Shades, Bushmaster, and Comanche. Misty was pretty cool although a bit of a slut. Like Luke bags her in the first few episodes but she can’t trust his heroism for the rest of the season because he’s a little tiny bit off the rails. Like bro, or actually sis, you were already down with fucking him, let him deal with Cottonmouth/Diamondback as he pleases. It’s not like he wanted to kill them, considering he let them wake up each morning. Priorities…Diamondback was good for his brotherly envy and I actually appreciate how he hijacks the show. I mean, he was going to come in anyway, Cottonmouth died to the worst fucking character, his own cousin Mariah. It would have been interesting to see how the ambitious Cottonmouth interacts with petty Diamondback but Mariah’s a bitch. I hated her throughout all season 1 and 2. And does her actress always have to play that archetype? Despicable women. Her scenes with Shades also trying to sexualize her like she isn’t about to spit on a burning Jamaican and beg him to die quicker. Kill me bro. I think Bushmaster is a good antagonist to all the characters in this show and one of the best written ones in the saga. I was rooting for him in almost every scene, how does he do it. Now excluding his relationship with the bitch, Shades I think is a top tier character. I really liked Comanche as well and the two had real chemistry as partners. The main reason I liked Shades was his confidence and natural resilience. Like he didn’t do much to deserve it but his character continued to surviving any consequence. I think its just that he didn’t go out of his way to attack people. Like the war between Stokes, Cage, Stryker, and the Yardies was so petty sometimes but Shades was just passively involved. So he got his immunity and was about to leave the show without getting killed or arrested until Misty decided to pull some crappy loophole. Free my man. DW, the kid personal relations rep for Cage, was another goated character. Also Foggy gets a funny cameo. Last note, the music really made the show its own Using an actual Harlem musician each episode for a scene (whether be climax, exposition, or montage) was enchanting and pulled the show outside of the Noir meta that DD, JJ, and Punisher thrived on. Hoodie wearing bullet proof black man fighting black crime in front of a B.I.G photo while Stephen Marley plays in the background is underrated content that has not been replicated in my knowledge.
Now please enjoy this lightning fast chapter.
