Congress v Tik Tok

So that’s it. Some quick honorable mentions, there was one East Asian lady who was super polite with Chew. By her name, I would guess she was Japanese but I’m not gonna assume, it was in the first hour. She was the only person who didn’t get defensive when he answered and seemed genuinely interested in his information although it wasn’t relevant enough for me to remember on top of everything else.

Chew has multiple children but they live in Singapore which doesn’t allow sub 13 yos to use the app. Some lady attacks him for this hypocrisy but he says that “if we lived here, I would let them have the app”. Disgusting bitch. Nice to know he’s a family man and one of the cool parents.

He’s also younger than every member, I’m sure that isn’t just the Asian genes. I do think his Globalism rhetoric would’ve worked better on millennials and zoomers since we grew up in a connected world via the Internet. Unfortunately, even the X men can be comfortably xenophobic if they so wish.

A bunch of times, they ask him to do a money spread but he found that invasive and politely answered, “Mr Congressman, I will not discuss my finances publicly” and he would even do this for specific company stuff. I think this is fair, it’s not necessary to know how many figures get his kids fed and also the man is here for love of the game. Also it would be a weird flex if he just said, “yeah I got 36 bill on DOW right now” or some shit.

Because they had scripted opening and closings, they didn’t necessarily attack him as directly as I felt in the audience. It was more just attacking tik tok but it still felt frustrating to me because its not like they treated him as a person. The whole thing in general is maddening. I mean they had me mad enough to use retard on them and I only use that with close friends. I hate all of them and they for sure do NOT represent the 150 million Americans happy to see the hardest Among Us edit in between a clip of “I like white girls more better” and “Shadow Wizard money game“.

Now to conclude, will Congress delete the app from the American market? Um, this conversation doesn’t do anything to impact that. That’s the worst part. they scheduled this on the same date they got threatened, correlated like 100 people’s schedules, sat around for 5 hours just to not help or hurt Tik Tok’s chances. I hope it does remain, it is a free market, right? It also brightens my day way more than the other apps. I also I hate the format of YouTube Shorts so its not like I’ll just switch to there. Why? Because it’s YouTube, it shouldn’t look like that. Also it is jankier than Tik Tok’s format. Yo they didn’t even bring up the President memes that’s so funny. Anyways, thank ya for reading and I hope you did too Congress. The One Piece is Real.
