A Fourth Franchise
There would be the infantile MCU starting off with Avengers in 2012 along with a new Spider-Man franchise for Sony in 2011. Fox had the Mutants doing their thing even after a few fuck ups but now they would also have this Fantastic Universe that could keep expanding very far and wide.
Some movies I would continue with if I was the arch-producer like Fiege:
Black Panther (2013): With the world introduced to Wakanda during a UN summit, the new nation immediately comes under the ambitions of arms dealer; Ulysses Claw. In this movie he would already have a cybernetic arm that shoots sonic blasts like in the comics. Killmonger could be a soldier for him along with other BP villains but he should be the main antag. He could still be played by Andy Serkis and Ryan Coogler could still direct it. I would want this one to be more of a Tulsa analogy than a Martin-Malcom analogy with the MCU movie.
King No More (2014): After his fight with Susan, Namor actually suffered amnesia and is just hiding as a vagabond in Europe. Attuma would take over the Atlantean throne, causing his sister, Namora, to search the surface world for him. He would become more nice as a person before they give his memories back
the Inhumans (2015): You KNOOOOOOOW Ike Perlmutter would be pushing for this movie. It would have Doom and Max team up to kill BB after the Kree lead an assault on the Moon that destroys the prison. We’d meet more of the Royal Family along with other Inhuman characters with BB also getting stronger with his scream powers. The final fights could be Triton vs Ronan, Medusa vs Max, and Doom vs BB. Potentially Johnny would also show up in this movie. In the psot credit scene, Doom would be back on Earth with the terrgenesis rock.
Into the Negative Zone (2015): potentially the last Fantastic movie with the og cast, this movie would finally have Sue give birth to her son. Before we get there first though, Agatha uses her arcane knowledge to ascertain that even Sue’s placenta was impacted by the solar rays in the first movie and so giving birth may kill her due to the power level of the infant. Perfecting the Portal with Wakandan science; Reed, Ben, Johnny, and Crystal go in to retrieve anti-matter to possibly heal Sue and even Ben’s powers. The Silver Surfer is also there and helps Sue cope with the pain of her child. So they explore the Negative Zone, meet Annihlus and other characters, retrieve their shit, rescue some people and jump out. But Annihlus would follow weeks later ready to conquer Earth in revenge. Franklin would be born safely and later use his reality warping powers to vaporize Annihlus much like Jack-Jack in the Incredibles. For this movie, Johnny and Crystal would have a married lovers dynamic as they have been dating for a while Reed and Ben would go back to their brotherly dynamic. Also since they have antimatter, Ben can now go back to being a human for short periods of time. Happy ever after typeshit.
Infinity Watch (2018): This movie may very much not happen since it entirely collides with Infinity War but maybe Feige can just do something else. Bring back Ultron, pussy. Adam Warlock would receive visions from the congress of celestial who warns him of the Mad Titan. They gift him the Soul Stone in order for him to prevent the Mad Titan’s destruction. Then Adam decides to go to Earth and meet the F4 and get their help. Reed theorizes their must be other stones to find but he’s too busy on Earth. Anyways, Johnny and Silver Surfer join him in a trip across the galaxy to find the stones which lead them to Thanos who wants to use them to marry Death. So you see? But Adam wins by then end, after Thanos snaps, he could steal the soul stone and become one with the universe n order to revive everyone and then heal Thanos’ soul.
Inhumans Sequal (20??): Doom starts using the terragenesis on humans all around so we see that some of the Comic Fantastic characters are indeed inhumans here along woth other originally Inhuman villains. One being Philip Masters who uses his Inhuman powers to puppet characters to terrorize the Thing and another being Molecule Man. The Royal family comes down to help him. And at the end they send Doom off to outer space.
Secret Wars I (20??): Doom falls into a time rift where he goes into the future and meets Nathaniel Richards. Doom learns of his daughter Victoria (made up for this movie) who later marries Franklin Richards which creates a dynasty of geniuses that leads to Nathanial (the Tenth). Doom helps him finish his time machine which causes the Council of Kangs come to erase Richards. After some fighting they are successful but Doom escapes back to modern day where he warns the F4, BP, Namor, the Inhumans, AND Warlock but nobody hears him out. At this point the audience should be made to be rooting for him, the boy whose crying wolf. We would have flashbacks to his childhood and that thing in college and see his side of things of always failing when compared to Reed. He also strongly desires to find his lover to potentially make his daughter come true. Now the Council of Kangs is made up of just 4 Kangs here actually; Rama-Tut (a greedy egotistical variant who loves his life as a pharaoh), Scarlet Centurion (an android clone of Nathan in a universe where ‘Ultron’ reigns), the Conqueror (the self imposed leader who likes to erase other variants to conquer their universes), and Immortus (a mysterious version that seems to be purely an advisor, we learn later that he was the first). They could all be played by the same actor, they have totally different costumes of course. They have slightly different powers; Rama-Tut’s tech lowkey allows him to do some magical things while Centurion is close to just being an Iron Man. The Council decide Doom is a threat and travel to 21st century Earth to find and kill him. After Centurion’s attack on NY (since Doom was in town), the heroes believe Doom. Centurion is disassembled and with his advanced parts; Doom, Reed, and T’Challa (with help of everyone else) build a new time machine. But then when they activate it, Rama-Tut comes out and fights them. As he defeats each hero, he sends them to a different year in this universe (designated to 444) but then last of all is Doom who surrenders. Immortus changes their mind on voiding him especially since Reed is a lot more of a threat. But Rama-Tut is not convinced as he sent Reed to his time period where he is strongest. Meanwhile, Kang decides to conquer this planet. In the First Dynasty of Egypt our OG 4 spend Act 3 dealing with Rama-Tut especially since they have no technology. After defeating him and stealing his, they are able to go across history finding the Silver Surfer, Franklin, Agatha, BP, Crystal, BB, Medusa, and Namor. Meanwhile, Kang defeats the Wakandans and various other armies of Earth. On some Goku vs the RRA typeshit some one vs all typeshit. He should make Thanos look like a piece of child. Using interdimensional technology, he ‘hooks’ up 444 to his the others that he has conquered in a confluence of universes that he calls Battleworld. Immortus tours Doom through it telling him it contains all possibilities that could ever exist, such as his daughter. But then Immortus explains himself and says he has led Doom down this path because he could never find a way to kill Kang himself, with every Nathan, he’s failed. “But I trust you”. In the next scene, Doom finds Molecule Man once more and recruits him. In the final moment of the movie, Doom uses his powers to simply absorb Kang’s life, stealing all of his raw power but making sure to redirect some of it so it doesn’t kill him, and then Doom kills Kang becoming the Emperor over time.
Secret Wars II (1 year after the first one): when our heroes arrive to the present time period, they find that Doom is the ruler of the Battleworld and they are quickly defeated as he rewrites reality with help of Molecule Man. Now the crew is split again and living in terrible fates. For example, Silver Surfer’s planet is reliving the Galactus calamity day in and day out. The movie would then just adapt the Hickman storyline except only including characters that we legally can (which do include the X-Men).
But that’s all. That’s enough. That’s what they could’ve had if Fox invested more into it but it’s totally reasonable that they didn’t. By the way, my two parter for SW is also a potential movie the MCU could do to shift the villain from Kang to Doom but nah we won’t see Kang again. And then even if it didn’t get that far, imagine folding this stuff in after the Fox-Disney merger. I mean at least one can retcon away half the mutant movies but I have a pretty concise storyline here (if everything turns out perfect). But also now look, MCU wouldn’t get to use Warlock or BP or potentially Kang, or at least it would be much more complicated. And then maybe by like Phase 5, those characters would show up again like Deadpool and Wolverine did. But thank you for reading, that was all. I was just randomly inspired because a campy BP, Namor, and BB could’ve been a cool story. Like OUR favorite black nazi once said, “Now we’ll never know”.
Also Superman was good go watch that.
