Marvel Multiverse Saga Extra Projects

Guys guys guys guys, I do apologize for dying for like a year but I will be back in progress with all my things soon here eventually. Just got super busy AND a writer’s block so Oh well.

In that time I’ve had a lot of thoughts on the MCU (of course) and I came to 3 big conclusions.

  1. I was wrong about the Phase 4 and 5 not being mishandled. Now I don’t think each project in a vacuum is genuinely dogshit, those types of haters are just selfish, but the whole collection of them is just incoherent mostly. Phase 4 and 5 feel like the DCEU or some other company trying it’s hand at the Avengers formula without understanding it. See, Phase 1 was the Genesis Phase that established a formula where each character would get a focus movie and then the big union happened with Avengers Assemble. Phase 2 was a Reaction Phase where we see the characters and the world react to well, the first phase. And then Phase 3 was a Consolidation Phase where things expanded but then eventually condensed into Endgame. So I understand that Phase 4 would be an epilogue/transition/2nd Genesis type of phase where some franchises would finally die while others pivot and still others begin new. But then they didn’t begin shit so Phase 5 was also again a transition phase despite how good some of the projects were. And it was because they decided to run away from the Kang stuff because…
  2. Kevin Feige is not in charge of the MCU. Yes he is the executive producer and he has some involvement in each project and it is quiet literally his only job BUT he is not even in control of this shit. Biggest thing to point to would be the Kang situation but also even certain other inconsistencies during the Infinity Saga would convince me that he doesn’t even storyboard these movies. I mean, I don’t know, I don’t mind free reign for writers and directors but I’m not convinced there’s a creative throughline from Feige in these movies. It’s just even basically if I was in control of the MCU, it would very much be a feudal monarchy. I’d have my storyboard for each movie and then the director would just film it. They can have their own styles absolutely but the plot would be guided by me for sure. And especially like if I wanted Thor to join the Guardians in movie, the next movie could not just throw him away before we see them together. But I don’t know, the proof would be in comparing how much Stan Lee (as the writer for like all Silver Age comics) impact the Marvel Comics vs how Feige is doing these.
  3. They are like wasting time and space in general. You attracted the biggest audience and the world and then they produced a Moon Knight show with no sequels, no references from other media, and hell it didn’t even do anything to establish itself in Cinema-616. So they’ve potentially wasted those fans and wasted the actor’s time and also that was when they were overproducing stuff due to COVID but if it didn’t exist there would be some open space. But also I don’t hate MK I also hate the pacing. Why they are trying to rush this saga before Trump even finishes his current term is beyond me. If the first 3 phases took 11 years, this time around could’ve taken 10-12 but it looks like they wanna end it in year 8 which is just insane even if they didn’t have 40 different projects. Just space this stuff more and lets have more of it which would be possible if Kevin actually had a plan instead of vibes.

So anyways I was thinking of different ways I would’ve done the Multiverse Saga if I could possess Kevin Feige back in 2018. Biggest idea I had was having multiple universes. Wait let’s talk about if there was no multiverse.

Imagining we weren’t doing any multiverse stuff cause we are afraid to scare away general audiences (which kinda happened indirectly), it doesn’t actually save this saga that much. Loki just gets cancelled and Tom is never brought back.

Then comes No Way Home where we could make it much more interesting for fans of street Spider-Man. I’m thinking we stretch out his legal cases with DODC instead of just wrapping it in fives minutes. This means more screentime with Matt Murdock and even Foggy Nelson and at least a line from Karen Page. But then I would have Jameson as the arch-villain as during Peter’s trial, he would hire certain villains after our spider. These could include Chameleon and Kraven as a begrudging pair (with DD helping him) and the Spider-Slayers. After the Slayers sequence, he decides to separate himself from his friends to not endanger them and then thinks of Strange and asks him for help. Strange says he doesn’t know any spells and just tries to encourage Peter. Meanwhile, Jameson’s astronaut son is having an emergency in space (symbiote) and leads his ship back to earth but it begins to look more like a crash by the Liberty Statue until Spidey slows the crash. Jameson rushes to the wreckage where Spidey is fighting coked up Kraven. That’s when MJ and Ned also arrive and Kraven shoots at them with his crossbow. MJ is shot and Spider rages out until Mephisto appears taunting Spider until he almost agrees to make to save MJ’s life in trade of another. Strange then invades the devil’s mindscape and has a quick tussle with Peter while trying to convince him of a different deal with memory. Peter then decides to make everyone forget Peter is Spider-Man. Mephisto shrugs off the defeat and the scene fades back to the crash site. Kraven reappears to challenge Spidey once again but Strange defeats him in one-shot. Peter reunites with his friends and they are accepted into MIT but his secret is safe. Post credit scene shows that the symbiote is bonded to him.

Next would be Cataclysm of Chaos; which would open the same of Strange fighting a random monster and the weddings for Palmer. Then Wanda calls him to meet with her outside of Westview as she is having horrid dreams of her children dying. They use a ritual with Sorcerer Supreme Wong to travel to the Dream Dimension where they explore their pasts and futures. Nightmare would be the villain and eventually convert Wanda into evil (she is secretly using the Darkhold in this film) and then they wake up in the real world where she uses the Darkhold to reshape reality and earth has turned apocalyptic. Wong gets defeated and Stange would have to defeat his own nightmare of letting go of Palmer before defeating Wanda. She would then be trapped in cube by the Mafuba. In the post credit scene, we see student sorcerers refer to it as the Cosmic Cube. The CC could be used by Kang/Doom to make Battleworld using Wanda as a power source or whatever.

Quantumania doesn’t need to exist but if it did…well there was one of the investor’s from the first film that made off with some Pym Particles but he has never returned. We’d see him now with the rest of his company; Advanced Idea Mechanics, finishing their research on the Quantum Realm. MODAK, the brain of the organization has reasoned that quantum energy is how people like Strange do their magic and that by using the Realm they can commit warfare unbeknownst to man. Quickly, over a 24 period, AIM uses their quantum heists to become the most powerful organization on the planet. They even use a prototype Super-Adaptoid to defeat Captain Sam and Falcon (Mexican) at the Avenger’s Campus. Hank Pym, seeing unregistered readings in the Realm hires Scott for one last job despite him on a Florida vacation with Cassie who decides to tag along anyways as this movie’s Wasp (Hope let her borrow the suit one weekend and she kept it). Scott and Cassie go into the realm to break into the AIM base their getting access keys. With those keys, they are able to break into the main laboratory in the regular realm which is guarded by Ultron like robots using their own Pym guns and tech. Scott’s mission will be to steal their Pym generator and stock of Pym particles as well as obliterate the lab with a Quantum Bomb which will “write them out of reality due to temporal confusion”. MODAK will be written as a foil of Scott, a program Hank had made to help him once but it grew smart and evil due to a lack of humanity unlike Scott. Cassie will be there to test the limits of the two basically. At the end, Scott and MODAK will suffer the Quantum explosion but due to Scott’s undying human spirit, he will be able to write himself back into time while MODAK dies much like Diavolo. Hope hugs him and the movie ends on a Luis narrated vacation story and no post credit scene.

And then…that’s literally it. That’s literally all of the multiverse projects they had in this Multiverse Saga. I mean I guess the Fantastics and Mutants would have to be brought in some organic way without the multiverse but it would still work actually. Hell, Kang is usually a time traveler not a dimension hopper. No America Chavez at least not for now. But see, you don’t even need a multiverse for this saga and it does kinda come out of left field as some people thought the snap might cause mutation across the planet but oh well Feige didn’t see that as a winning plotline.

The biggest idea would be that your have 4 concurrent universes that would eventually have a crossover in Secret Wars. One would be the already established 616 and then the next would be a Fantastic universe (414). But they should start releasing movies for that in Phase 4 like originally planned. And then the Fox Mutant universe would just continue production with DP3 and maybe other stuff like a Mojoverse film, Cap Britain stuff, and an X-Factor project. The lastly I was thinking Moon Knight could be in a Horror Universe (666) along with Blade, Werewolf by Knight, Ghost Rider, and Lillith serving as their arc villain. They could also have their own ‘Mystic’ Strange. But these would be marketed as different universes placed on different pages on Disney+ (and even Marvel Studios divided into 4 divisions to produce them) with each one having at least one project each year, and so with about 3-5 projects for 10 years, we would genuinely have a Multiverse Saga. And as the exec producer I would be in every writing room every storyboard every set getting everything down to a tee. I wouldn’t even worry about comic accuracy because we are making our own mythology at this point. But oh well.

Even without all of that I thought I might pitch some stuff Marvel should be doing or should’ve already done and just cool projects anyways. At the end of the day, Kevin is just some guy.

NOVA

They say they have something in the works for this character but they also fully produced the Eternals which have zero fans before the movie came out. Now I’ve read through Marv Wolfman’s volume of Nova to understand the character and a few things were funny to me. Firstly, this nigga Richard Rider is just another Spidey clone (like DD) except much stupider. Teeneger, suddenly gets powers, not a sidekick totally solo to the point other heroes must hate associating with him, and is always loathing about his misgivings. He is still probably way less neurotic or melancholic than Peter and definetly not as much of an asshole nor is he that witty with quips. And Wolfman even has the government mandated crossover with Peter and doesn’t bully Peter at all but he is relentless with his treatment of Rider. Also its funny how Rider has next to no powers. I understand later iterations of Nova give him energy blasts and such but this version has supersonic flight (that is he is only really fast when flying not on the ground) and nigh invulnerability making him a human rocket. THAT’S IT! He is a street level character that would find the ability to lose to Boomerang but I fell in love with him over 26ish issues. The thing he bemoans about the most is that he is the unluckiest character alive and the narration never seems to disagree. He literally NEVER wins and is just bad at getting something in his favor. He is a LOSER. Lastly, I liked the issue where he gets to meet Wolfman and signs on to get a comic from in-universe Marvel, very funny scene and other scenes where he pokes at 4th wall but doesn’t break it. So FUCK SAM ALEXANDER #RealBulletHeads are gonna be waiting for Richard Rider.

By the way, the show would start off by this one bullyish character shouting “DICK RIDER” as that is the nickname Wolfman practically gave him. His volume is not that intense if this was a Japanese anime I would just adapt them directly into 13 episodes very easy but we will just take inspiration from them.

Richard Rider will be this stupid white kid nearly failing out of high school. He has his girlfriend Ginger Jaye who I will change into an Asian girl. She has her own friend Donna-Lee Dover who will be this super emotional white girl and her boyfriend Mike Burley who holds a kind of rivalry with Dick. Then Richie’s friends are “Caps” this younger kid who is a genius and his tutor, and then his Jewish friend Bernie Dillon who will be a comic relief and hella sarcastic. Bernie was my second favorite character after Rich. I will be removing Rich’s younger inventive brother and just giving those traits to Caps. His parents will be the same although instead of principal his father is a professor at Columbia. I was originally gonna set the series in Houston but nahhhh he can be in NY, on Long Island or something.

His villains that Wolfman gave us will just be 4. The first being Condor, a man who we later learn was cursed to be a human-bird by the Sphinx and so he wants revenge. But at the same time, he is uses his powers for robberies of certain weapons in NY. In combat, he can counter Nova’s speed and strength with brains. He is quite sarcastic. Black actor. Next is Powerhouse, a man who can absorb kinetic energy due to a lab experiment. He is the same age as Rich and usually neutralizes him in fights. But he only does what the Condor wants out of a life debt. Then there’s Diamondhead who has been transformed into the jewel due to a Sandman like event. He matches Nova in fights unless Nova accelerates to sonic speed (which would be a thing in my show that Wolfman didn’t do) but he is in general a hired tank for Condor. Very arrogant allll about money. Then there’s the arc villain Sphinx who is this ancient sorcerer for the Pharaoh during the time of Moses. No literally. He was cursed with immortality and will use Ancient Coptic magic against our hero. The comic just gave him god strength and reality warping. He simply desires for a way to end his life and would like for Nova to unlock all his power to kill him.

Now how Nova gets his powers is very time sensitive so this show should be released in 2021 or 2022. Nova Prime, the planet in Guardians 1, had been researching the energy in the Power Stone and were able to draw power out of it, putting it in a massive battery. From there, they charged laser guns and their suits with the infinity energy but only one man was ever able to wear the suit; Rhomann Dey who becomes general. When Thanos attacks with his entire army, he is able to immediately steal the Power Stone and then obliterate half of the planet. Dey is defeated but then his troops rescue him and send him on an escape pod to warn the Guardians. Thanos then completely breaks the planet and sets off to find the Space Stone from Loki.

Dey’s ship falls into a wormhole which takes him to Earth. He records a final message before sending the Nova helmet down to Earth hoping for a worthy champion. He is about to die but he puts himself in a stasis chamber and his ship orbits the Earth. Little does he know, the wormhole pushed him five years forward after Endgame.

Now the Nova helmet has an intense amount of vital energy from the Power Stone and so the universe would use it as the new ‘Power Stone’ after Thanos destroyed them. When the helmet crashes into his bedroom on his head, Rich will fly around town crazy with power and stopping a handful of criminal exploits in an episode called “New Fantasy”. He’ll watch the recording but knowing Thanos is now defeated, he vows to defeat the next Thanos with the Avengers and so he presents himself to NYC as the new hero. He then hangs out with his friends by the ice parlor so we get to meet them. Criminals are in a car chase and run him over but he survives and secretly becomes Nova and stops the car chase. The man inside, is Powerhouse who starts fighting him in the next episode.

In “New Power”, Nova and PH spend the episode fighting each other here and there as Condor waits for him to bring him an Arc Reactor. We’ll see a flashback of how Condor and PH met and how he stole it from the old Avengers tower. Nova at this point has unlocked his super flight speed and super durability. He shoves off some super strength in this episode. Also, in the comic, the helmet doe not come with a suit but it would here. In the comic the helmet also folds like a beanie when off his head but when he puts it on its hard as hell. It has a screen and computer like a Stark suit but I won’t give him an ai voice. PH will draw energy out of Nova obviously throughout their fights. To end the episode, Condor flies in and helps PH defeat Nova who bemoans about it later.

In “New Shell”, Nova spends the episode eventually overcoming Diamondhead. At the same time, Lady Thor (Jane Foster) would make her first MCU appearance here getting corrupted by a hypnotist for his evil scheme. Nova has to fight the both of them and eventually unlocks a new level of super strength and sonic speed.

In “New Deal”, Nova would meet Marv Wolfman, Kevin Feige, and others as they sign have him sign licenses for a new MCU show in universe. He is invited to their office in NYC when Blackout fights him. This would be the first appearance of the Dark Force in the MCU (if Clock and Dagger is not canon) which Blackout gained from an experiment. He kidnaps his son Caps to build him a stabilizer but he really isn’t able to. A nother new hero ready to sign with Marvel is Comet who helps Nova defeat Blackout. It will be a very meta episode and could even spoil future MCU projects.

In “New Destiny”, we meet Sphinx who awakes from slumber feeling the Power Stone. Condor hires DH and PH to help him steal a ray gun from the still active Tinkerer in his new base. Nova is surveying when he spots the battle as Shocker protects Tinkerer. The trio come out on top and leave on a jet for Egypt. Nova flies after them. Condor finishes his weapon on the plane and then the Trio battle the Sphinx by the Pyramids. Nova arrives and at first attacks PH but Sphinx turns on him interested in his power. Nova get crushed in a fight, DH gets oneshotted, Condor turned into a full bird, and PH loses his ability. Throughout this episode, Sphinx speaks a lot on fate and how the Nova helmet is his destiny.

Finally in “New Avenger”, Comet arrives and stops Sphinx from taking the helmet. Nova wakes up again and fights Sphinx again with Comet but they don’t do so good. Sphinx teleports them to the Rider house and nearly kills his family and turns his friends to stone. Nova unleashes a new level of Power fully unlocking the Infinite. He’ll have a purple aura and can now fire purple blasts. This turns Sphinx from suicidal to envious as he wishes to trump Nova, he found something new to live for. It now turns into a DBZ level fight (Rich will be a fan of 90s anime) but then eventually Nova wins and convinces Sphinx revive his friends and family. Rhomann Dey and a few other Nova soldiers touchdown and talk with Nova. Sphinx decides to go to their planet to learn more about things but they take him in power restraining cuffs. And then they allow Rich to keep his powers (at this point his parents and friends learn who he is) and he thinks about it for long before agreeing.

Rich’s main arc will be establishing his identity. He understands that he is a loser and he barely thinks he deserves the powers or his friends, but he does want to prove it. So I want to consider it a fantasy coming-of-age and that’s why I also want to give him a Mickey Mouse ending instead of some brutal shit.

Also lowkey I would want one more special (hour long) episode maybe released after GGTG3 where he teams up with earthbound Star-Lord for a buddy cop bit. Could be cool maybe they chase down a kree character.

Beyond that I want to explain the future. I would not necessarily give him a season 2 but also I haven’t read more Nova stuff like his space adventures. But he would still show up in one other potential project…

Infinity Watch

So Thanos has destroyed the Infinity Stones but from how everyone had been treating them, their destruction would destroy the universe. Well I believe the stones would just remanifest and maybe this time via certain beings. The Power Stone will be Nova now. After the second season, Loki would be the Time Stone in every universe but espeically for his native 616. Perchance after VisionQuest, Vision would become the Mind Stone again. The movie would start there, this would be a movie to close off Phase 5 btw.

Loki is on his throne watching over and then sees a vision of the future this beast of darkness. That’s when he decides to step back into 616 and meets with Vision. They recount how they’ve technically met before in different forms. But whoever writes the dialogue here has to be smart because Loki has seen the future and knows what Vision will say while Vision can read his and anyone’s mind even across the universe. But even then, Vision likes connecting with people (journey-driven) while Loki doesn’t and is very end-driven so that will be Loki’s arc here.

Besides that, on a mission with the Guardians, Adam Warlock gets an awakening of the same vision but then he awakens to the reason he was born; as the next Soul Stone. He takes the team now across the galaxy to stop Man-Beast, a maniacal warlord created by the High Evolutionary who has been corrupting factions in the Kree, Skrull, and Nova empires to join him on a conquest. He is known as undefeatable due to many of his abilities. When they invade one of his occupying planets, they meet Cap Marvel who helps them to get closer to the core of his empire.

Meanwhile, Vision and Loki are able to recruit Nova on the team after explaining the sitch with the Infinity Stones. They then go to Mount Wundagore and Loki reverses time to just before Wanda killed herself thus reuniting the couple. Wanda is the Reality Stone. They happily kiss and have a long convo that Loki will personally fast forward through while Nova just supports them in the background.

Man-Beast will descend upon the Guardians with a fleet leading to the Milano and Danvers defending themselves. Man-Beast fights Danvers on an asteroid showing off his various psychic and physical abilites. He can nearly match her due to his ‘continious evolution’ and so eventually he becomes immune to her energy blasts. He’ll taunt her in the mind but then Vision makes a new mindscape allowing Marvel to unlock her powers from the Tesseract explosion…she is the Space Stone. At the same time, Warlock tries to speak to Man-Beast in the spirit world but the man will evolve and use the plane against Warlock while trying to corrupt him. Using her space powers, Danvers brings the other 4 to her and then they tacically retreat with the Guardians.

At Knowhere, after some silly introductions Rocket demands that they deal with Man-Beast on their own as now his team is too injured and even the Milano can’t fly anymore. But the team does not all trust each other especially with Loki acting irate. Raring to go they decide to divide and conquer rather than doing Loki’s plan despite him forseeing everything. Rich and Danvers decide to hijack a ship to find the secret location of Man-Beast’s HQ while Vision and Wanda decide to liberate a couple of planets. Warlock was distraught with his loss anyways until he wakes up in the Spirit World. He talks with dead MCU characters who cheer him up or down and then there’s Thanos who will give him the balls to persevere.

Loki goes back to the timestream and tries to restart several times. Adam stops and gives him a lesson to become more journey driven. Then the two jump back to just before the team separated and come up with a new democratic plan.

Eventually, the find Man-Beast, they fight him but he uses his psychic powers to corrupt the team and cause them to mistrust him. Eventually, all flip sides on Warlock as seen in the vision but then he heals their fatal flaws/fears and they obliterate Man-Beast with the power of love. He is completely turned to dust.

The soul of Thanos will come to them and ask them to keep watch over the universe that he grew mad about revealing more about his rational and irrational in his plan. “But maybe this was the fate, for one to grow mad with your powers altogether to show that together you need each other for the power.”

In the post-credit scene, with her new space bending/breaking powers, Danvers uses her powers to break open the multiverse to pull Monica Rambeau back into 616 although we see the X-Men and Magneto come out with them. Overwhelmed with joy the two girls hug into the air as a second Earth appears in the sky.
